An amazing and visual effect, the D'Lite allows a magician to seemingly reach into the air and pluck and control a ball of light. For those who enjoy performing the D'Lite, the prop now comes in a blue light version and a color change version that changes from red to green and back again at will. And if you're learning how to handle the D'Lite, or could use some fresh performance angles, there's the reasonably priced D'II DVD that offers excellent instruction.
With a single D'Lite a magician can make a ball of light seemingly appear and disappear, as well as make objects glow. With two D'Lites, a magician can make the light appear to pass from hand to hand and through objects, as well as vanish and reappear.
The new blue DLite offers the potential for creative color changes and can work in situations where you would prefer a blue, as opposed to red light. The D'Lite Color Change lets you easily display and manipulate a green or red light to produce different colored lights or change the color of one light to another. Both of the new products look natural and are well made and easy to work with. They are quality products. If you have been impressed with earlier DLites, you will like these as well. The only negative, the DLites I evaluated came with no instructions.
Great DVD
Anyone who is interested in learning and performing with D'Lites should invest in the well done D'II DVD. At only $14.95, the DVD offers first rate instructions, suggests creative performance options, and most important, shows novices how to properly handle the D'Lite for maximum effect. In fact, the DVD should be required viewing for all new D'Lite users who dont have the luxury of an experienced magician to show them how to use the gimmick. The D'II DVD starts with the basics: holding the D'Lite, hand position, basic vanishing techniques and various productions. The lessons are clear and easy to follow, and the DVD even provides some helpful slow motion sequences with on-screen instructions.
